Thank you for choosing Play N’ Learn! This policy outlines our terms for purchases, delivery, installation, cancellations, and returns. Please read carefully before placing your order.

1. Ordering & Payment Terms

Deposits & Payment Schedule

Minimum deposit of 50% required on all orders at time of purchase
Payment terms are C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) – no exceptions
Final payment is due immediately following delivery and/or installation

Credit Card Authorization

Play N’ Learn will perform a pre-authorization on your credit card two business days prior to your scheduled delivery/installation date for the remaining balance
The card will NOT be charged until product is delivered and/or installed
If your deposit was paid by credit card, the balance will be automatically charged to that same card after completion, unless you provide cash or check at time of service
Pre-authorization will be voided if you pay the balance with cash or check

Important: If your credit card is declined during pre-authorization, your scheduled work cannot proceed and will need to be rescheduled unless alternative payment is arranged before your appointment time.

2. Delivery & Installation Services

Service Area

Play N’ Learn delivers and installs playsets, trampolines, and basketball goals throughout:

Maryland
Virginia
Washington, D.C.

Additional delivery charges apply for locations beyond 40 miles from any of our store locations. Call 410-992-0992 for pricing specific to your address.

Site Preparation Requirements

Before our installation team arrives, please ensure:

The installation area is clearly marked
The area is accessible (gates unlocked, clear pathway to installation site)
Someone 18+ is present to accept delivery and make final payment
You have determined the exact placement of your equipment

Ground & Installation Conditions

All sites are assumed to be level. Play N’ Learn reserves the right to charge additionally for leveling and grading at our standard labor rate ($149 for first 30 minutes, $90 per additional 30 minutes)
We offer extended pieces to accommodate unlevel sites – additional charges apply
Basketball goal installation fees are based on digging through natural ground. Installing through concrete, asphalt, or other hard surfaces requires advance notice and incurs additional charges

Basketball Goal Installations – Special Notes

Excavated dirt (spoilage) will be left onsite
You may provide containers (wheelbarrow, trash can, etc.) for installers to place dirt
We will need access to water to mix concrete

Failed Delivery Fee

If Play N’ Learn cannot complete a scheduled delivery due to any of the following, a $149.00 return trip fee will be assessed:

Customer not home (unless prior arrangements were made)
Cannot enter yard/installation area
Placement of product is not clearly marked
Inability to accept C.O.D. payment

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that circumstances change. Here’s how our cancellation policy works:

Less than 5 days before scheduled delivery/installation	90% refund	10% restocking fee
Within 14 days after receiving merchandise	70% refund (minus labor costs)	30% restocking charge + labor

Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of cancellation or return
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
Cash payments will be refunded by check

Items That Cannot Be Returned

The following items are not eligible for return once delivered/installed:

Custom-built or personalized playsets made to your specifications
Opened, used, or assembled equipment (unless defective)
Items that have been modified or altered after delivery

4. Damage, Defects & Warranty

Reporting Damage Upon Delivery

If you discover any damage to merchandise after delivery, you must report it to Play N’ Learn within 5 business days to receive free service.

90-Day Play N’ Learn Warranty

Subject to normal use, Play N’ Learn warrants to the original purchaser to repair or replace (at our option) defective merchandise for a period of 90 days from the date merchandise is received.

This warranty includes installation of replacement parts, provided original installation was performed by Play N’ Learn
After the 90-day period, we will replace any parts covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, but a minimum service charge of $149.00 will apply for labor

Service & Labor Rates

$149.00 for the first 30 minutes of service
$90.00 for each additional 30 minutes

Natural Wood Characteristics (Not Covered)

Redwood and cedar playsets will naturally show:

Warping and checking (small cracks)
Distortion and seasoning checks
Surface cracks

These are natural characteristics of wood and do not affect structural integrity. Seasonal checks and surface cracks that do not result in structural failure are not covered under warranty.

5. Shipping for Small Items

UPS shipping is available for certain smaller items. Call Play N’ Learn at 410-992-0992 for pricing information on shipped items.

6. Customer Safety Responsibilities

Important Safety Information:

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the play area is safe and free of potential hazards
An impact-resistant surface is recommended with any playground equipment (may be installed before or after our installation)
All play activity should be supervised by an adult

7. Product Specifications & Substitutions

Play N’ Learn reserves the right to:

Discontinue, substitute, or change designs and specifications
Use equal or superior quality materials
Ship improved products when changes have been made
Correct errors in pricing or arithmetic

8. In-Store Play Policy

Play N’ Learn offers Pay-to-Play and Free Play during certain times. While we maintain a safe environment:

Children must be supervised at all times while playing in our showroom
Parents/guardians assume all risks associated with play activities
Participation is at your own risk and includes risks of scrapes, bruises, cuts, and potentially more serious injuries

By allowing your child to play, you release Play N’ Learn, Inc. and its owners, officers, directors, and managers from liability in connection with participation in activities at our facility.
