Party guests have access to all games and activities in our showroom including swingsets, trampolines, & basketball goals. Your party comes with tablecloths, napkins, plates, and silverware in standard primary colored party theme. Just bring a cake, some drinks and maybe order a pizza, we’ve got the rest. Parties are priced for up to 20 children.

Birthday Party at Columbia Play N’ Learn

All birthday parties run for 2 hours. You can extend the 6pm parties by 1 hour for an additional $200 if booked in advance. Only the 6pm party time may be extended, and extended parties require at least 1 week’s advance notice. If you decide to add the extra hour on the day OF your party, the fee is increased to $250. To add extra time, please book the 6pm party online as usual, and then call us to add and pay for the additional time at 410-992-0992

All parties are priced for up to 20 children. We count children that are between 12 months and 14 years old. Adults/infants are not counted into your total. Please do not invite more than 20 children to the party as that is our maximum!

The only way to have a party for more than 20 children is to book both rooms at the same time. You would need to book 2 back to back time slots on the same day and call the store for instruction prior to booking. The party still runs for only TWO HOURS, but both rooms would be yours allowing up to 40 children. You must call the store to verify what times the party can be held if both rooms are booked.The two party rooms are not adjoined. Call 410-992-0992 Mon-Sat 10-5 or Sun 12-4.

We do book up fast, especially in the colder months. Generally we are booked out about 3 months ahead of time, so if you see a party day that works for you, grab it quickly. The afternoon times tend to fill up first.  PRIVATE PARTIES MUST BE BOOKED AT LEAST 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE. IF YOU BOOK A PRIVATE PARTY LESS THAN 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE, YOUR ORDER WILL BE REFUNDED. NO EXCEPTIONS!

We supply paper plates, cake plates, napkins, plasticware, kids’s cups and tablecloths with limited color selection. Our party room has an apt size refrigerator and freezer. Each party room has 2 8′ long tables to eat on and 1 6′ long table to serve on. 20 chairs are available for each party room. You may not move tables from one room to another, but you are welcome to bring an extra serving table of your own. A party coordinator will assist you with set-up and clean up of your party and will be there to answer questions and replenish supplies. Food and drink are not provided but may be brought in. Most people order pizza and bring in a cake.

The closest pizza place is  https://www.eatalianomarket.com/  (formerly Roma’s), but feel free to bring/have delivered whatever you like.

All parties require the same resources whether there are 6 children or 20. There is no discount for parties with less than 20 children.

Your party coordinator is there to assist with set up and clean up of your party and to answer any questions. Forgot a lighter, candles or cake knife? Your party coordinator has one! He/She is not permitted to serve food or supervise guests, but will be sure your supplies are replenished and your trash is emptied as needed. Your party coordinator appreciates gratuities!

No, While we would love to host your child’s birthday party, all parties MUST be booked properly. No food or drink is allowed outside of the party rooms therefore if you have not booked a party room, there is no food permitted on weekends. All unauthorized birthday parties will be asked to leave in fairness to those that properly booked.

Sorry, there is no alcohol of any kind permitted on the premises.

Payment in full is required to book any party. No party can be held without payment in full.

Our standard cancellation policy is full refund if cancelled More than 14 days prior to party, a 100% store credit if cancelled 5-14 days prior to scheduled party and a 50% store credit if cancelled 4 or less days prior to party.  Sorry, there are no exceptions to this policy.  See snow policy below

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own themed tablecloths/decorations, banners, balloons, etc. If it hangs with scotch tape, command strips or painter’s tape, we’re cool with it – no push pins. Please do not bring confetti (including confetti filled balloons), glitter or anything difficult to clean up. Our ceilings are high so we strongly recommend weights for your balloons, we cannot retrieve balloons from the rafters.

Yes, but only the pull string kind. We have a place to hang the pinata in each room.  Please let us know upon arrival so we can adjust tables if needed.  We ask that customers assist with pinata clean up and the kids are not able to eat any of the candy in the showroom area.

Yes, we have had Mickey Mouse, Ironman, Optimus Prime, and every Character from Frozen. Characters are welcome. We simply ask that you tag us when you post the pics on Facebook!

Yes, face painters are okay with us as long as they do it on the tiled area, but please, no glitter. We do not have additional tables available for your face painter or balloon artist, but you/they can bring a small one.

Yes, please expect that there will be families in the playground to shop or play. Mon-Fri there will be up to 15 children in the store for pay-to-play and on a Sat/Sun expect families to be in the store shopping for equipment. The stores close at 5pm on Mon – Sat and 4pm on Sun, so there will be no people in to shop or play after those times.

If Play N’ Learn closes due to inclement weather we will work with you to select another available party time or you can opt to receive a full refund.

Sorry, we host a lot of parties on the weekends and need to keep the parties moving so the showroom stays safe and does not get overcrowded. All party guests must leave when the party ends.

Hosts may arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the party. Your party room is not available greater than 15 minutes before your party so don’t arrive too early. We will ask you to start cleaning up 15 minutes before the end of your party so everyone is out on time.

No, sorry we do not keep a waiting list. We very rarely have cancellations. If we do, the online calendar will be updated immediately.
